SUPPLY CHAIN
BEST PRACTICE MODEL
Benchmarking Success assesses current
organisational performance providing an understanding of
best practice supply chain management and the
identification of performance gaps.
The input for this best practice
supply chain model is the
customer order fulfilment and supply chain diagnostic (COFs™)
diagnostic. Over 700 supply chains have completed this
diagnostic. The COFs™
diagnostic contains all the elements of the supply
chain, incorporating:
- planning,
- sourcing / procurement (including
inbound logistics),
- manufacturing,
- delivery / outbound logistics
(including reverse logistics), and
- key management inputs which drive
the demonstrated performance
Benchmarking Success has pioneered
this best practice supply chain
model which organisations employ on an ongoing
basis to rank their performance and plan business
strategies. The output of this
process is a SCAR report (Strategic
Supply Chain Audit Report)
The best practice model is also used
in Benchmarking Success’ benchmarking and improvement
peer groups.
World’s best practice is a dynamic
concept and Benchmarking Success need to be capable of
regularly upgrading our best practice model (and with it
our thinking and diagnostic methods). To this end the
team must constantly be looking for ways to improve.
Planned changes to the database, best
practice model, [etc] are consolidated and undertaken
regularly. |
