Stephen Hanman – Managing
Partner
Stephen Hanman is a Managing Partner
of Benchmarking Success and has worked in the
Supply Chain Benchmarking and
Best Practice area for 13 years.
Since 1993, Stephen has pioneered the
development of Benchmarking Success and the application
of both external and internal benchmarking and
improvement peer group concepts with over 200
organisations involved.
In 1995, Stephen developed a model to
define world class supply chain management. The database
now consists of information from over 700 company supply
chains.
Stephen won the Anderson Consulting
Award for Best Paper in the International Journal of
Logistics Management in 1997 for the article titled
“Benchmarking your Firm’s Performance with Best
Practice”. This brought international recognition to
Benchmarking Success’ pioneering methods.
Stephen is a regular speaker at
national and international supply chain and logistics
conferences, as well as many other industry related
forums. For several years Stephen
spoke at one of the most highly regarded logistics
courses in the world at Ohio State University. He also
speaks annually at the Monash University, Master of
Marketing (Logistics Management) course.

Artie Leslie – Managing
Partner
Artie has more than 23 years of
operational logistics and supply chain experience in
“blue chip” FMCG companies. Operational roles have
included senior management responsibility for Supply
Chain, Change Management, Manufacturing, Planning,
Engineering, Procurement and Physical Distribution. In
his most recent corporate role Artie was responsible for
Group Supply Chain Development for a multi-divisional
global food and industrial products business. It is
interesting to note that during this period Artie was a
member of a BMS Business Improvement Peer Group.
After a general
management consulting role,
Artie became a Managing Partner in BMS in early 2004.
Since joining BMS he has developed the Manufacturing
element of the BMS best practice model and incorporated
it into the
COFS™ Diagnostic. The ability to assess the
Manufacturing contribution to supply chain performance,
has now been applied to several significant industrial
manufacturing operations.
Artie has tertiary qualifications in
Applied Science and Biology and a Graduate Diploma in
Logistics Management (Monash University). He speaks at
national and international supply chain and logistics
conferences, as well as industry related forums.

Bob Arnold – Senior
Benchmarking Specialist
Bob Arnold has significant experience
in benchmarking and measurement. He has 15 years of
operational management experience and a further 10 years
leading major change programmes at a senior management
level. A feature of his experience is the development
and implementation of continuous improvement and
measurement processes incorporating Human Resource and
Organisational Change management.
Bob left the corporate world and
joined Benchmarking Success in late 2004 as a Senior
Benchmarking Specialist. Since this time he has
undertaken several significant benchmarking projects and
has also guided the development of Sales and Operation
Planning, Demand Planning and Trade Spend processes for
a high profile FMCG manufacturer.
Bob has tertiary qualifications in
Chemistry and an Executive MBA in Change Management.
